Dave's Delight Punch

I made this as an entertainment adult beverage when Amber's family came over. They named it "Dave's Delight Punch" 2 cans of Doles' frozen pineapple orange banana juice slightly thawed. 1 gallon of water 1 naval orange cut in slices 1-1.5 cups of fresh pineapple cut into chunks 1/2 liter of Fresca Citus Drink 3oz tequila 4oz triple sec 3oz clear spiced rum Mix together in a punch bowl in medium sized glass fill 3/4 full of ice fill with punch and 1/2 oz of grenadine

Chocolate Cake

I am going to try and start posting new recipes for drinks and food. I figured I need to start adding something to the Sanders' Scriptorium. The first entry will be a dessert of sorts. I am going to start with a drink I call chocolate cake. Chocolate Cake First fill a mixer 3/4 full with ice 1 oz Pinnacle Cake Vodka 1/2 oz Pinnacle whipped cream vodka 1-2 tablespoons of Hershey chocolate syrup 1/2 ox regular vodka fill the mixer 3/4 full of chocolate milk shake well gently pour chocolate syrup around the inside the rim of a hardball glass (any short glass will work) Pour the contents of the mixer gently into the glass Fill the glass with whipped cream. Drink slowly and enjoy

Two-in-One

I know, I know...I missed last weeks post. I am sorry. Sometimes things just come up and make it impossible to keep up with the blog, despite my best efforts. So this week is going to be a combination of the last two weeks. Which includes Father's Day and a good portion of my family coming to see our house in Kingman. They were a great two weeks filled with a lot of fun and a lot of family time. It really makes me miss living closer to home when I see them, but I am really happy that we live so much closer than we did before. We hosted my grandpa, grandma, auntie, mom and brother on Saturday for lunch. It was my first time really getting to host people in my own place, and it seemed to go really well. I hope to host another function soon! :) Aiden is being extremely cute; as usual. He says "Bless you" whenever anyone sneezes, knows right where I keep the graham crackers and string cheese, tries to open every door knob with our car keys, and is growing like crazy.  I cannot believe that 16 months have already flown by, hopefully the next 16 go a little slower! :) Have a great week all!

I know I just posted yesterday but you didn't get a video and I could not hold onto this video for a whole week. :) I love this kid, enjoy!

Sayonara Mara!

Mara came to visit us on Sunday, and much to our dismay she leaves today. Aiden had so much fun playing with her, stealing her gatorade bottles and learning how to make alphabet soup with her! We toured a little bit of Kingman, took her to the best root beer spot in town, watched Robin Hood, played Disney Scene-It and visited an Alpaca farm! It was a really good visit and we cannot wait to host her again so we can have many more adventures. She got to experience many of Aiden's latest quirky behaviors; which a description here cannot do justice. One of his latest favorite pastimes is spinning in circles, this kid loves to get dizzy. Not only does he spin in circles but he tries to watch you as he does it, it is hilarious to see him do it in person. He is too much fun, even if he does give us all heart attacks with his crazy antics!

There is something else special about this day, it is Aiden's Grandmas Birthday! :) Happy Birthday Mom! :) We love you!

Cutest Kid :)

I think that we have established that Aiden is the cutest thing that has ever graced this earth(at least in my mind) on this blog. Each week I give you a look into our lives and try to capture the amazing spirit of my little munchkin. Being a mom is the hardest, yet most fulfilling job I can imagine. I can be on the brink of tears from exhaustion, and he will wrap his arms around my neck and give me a second wind. I never knew that another human being could be so dang adorable till he came along. Every day is different, every day is an adventure. He really plays on all my emotions. He makes me smile, laugh, cry, get frustrated, dance, sing, wiggle, be silly and look at life with an unbridled enthusiasm. He inspires me and motivates me, to do more, be more, give more and love more. This past weekend we went for a quick trip to Sedona. The scenery there is absolutely breathtaking and I felt so blessed to be able to share it with my little family.  I look to the future and cannot help but be excited for the trips and vacations we will hav as a family. I am eager to see the world and its wonders reflecting in my sons eyes, to experience all the good there is with him and through him.  There is something so pure about the way a child sees the world, and I am eager to continue that journey as my son grows. For now, I am soaking up every new words, sound, and behavior that he exhibits and appreciating all of the little things that life has to offer. I feel very blessed to be where I am, and optimistic about what the future holds.
