Pictures, Pictures, Pictures-2 Months Old!

We built a house for all his animals!
Last week we got to pick up Matthew from the airport! Unfortunately, I epically failed at taking pictures so we do not have any photo documentation of his visit but believe me, the boys loved it!  I do not have a lot of time this week but I could not let two weeks in a row go by without a blog.  On Friday, Connor had his first round of shots/vaccinations and he handled them pretty well.  Having to go to the doctors/getting shots is one of my least favorite things about being a parent, it sucks seeing your child suffer especially when they cannot understand that you have their best interest at heart.  We are headed to California this weekend to spend some more quality time with Matthew while he is here, Aiden is really looking forward to it.  I will do my best to get some pictures of the boys with their uncles.  Enjoy these pictures that I did manage to capture of the boys recently!:) Oh, and keep me in your prayers. I got a root canal on Tuesday and hurts more than I can even describe, I would put it up there close to childbirth except there is nothing adorable to look forward to!

Anniversary dinner, there was a deer at the window!

Santa's Last Visit

This week Aiden got to see his present from Santa! Santa's elves finally got it all unpacked and put together, better late than never! Aiden was pretty excited to get his present and I think that it eased a little of his distress over me putting away all the Christmas decorations. He was in tears when he walked out in the morning and saw that the tree was no longer there, turning on the tree had become part of our morning ritual. He is still singing his Christmas carols, but we are doing our best to wean him off by singing other songs.  We are getting really excited to see Uncle Matthew next week! I have a lot of video footage for you guys this week, I could not help it my boys are too cute!  I had my follow-up doctors appointment today, and good news everything is looking good. I have one final thyroid test, my doctor thinks that it may have just been a product of the pregnancy and not a long term condition! Hooray! Keep your fingers crossed and thank you for your prayers.

Happy New Year!

My Little Elf!
Parents Have Entered The Smart Phone Era
The first post of the year 2015, one of my many resolutions is to be better at posting every week. So far, so good! We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's with my side of the family. We are so blessed to have such great people to spend the holidays with, Aiden especially enjoys seeing everyone. Every time we leave he says that he misses everyone, listing them each by name and I have to reassure him that we will see them all again soon.  Connor is doing great, he is starting to sleep for longer periods of time and smiles all the time. There is just something about his smile that totally melts my heart! Aiden's vocabulary is expanding all the time, I think that it may even surpass some of Dave's students soon! I hope that I can continue to foster a love of learning in my children, it will help them when they enter the education system and enrich their lives overall. I find that people who have a passion for learning tend to be happier and more fulfilled. I am starting to get our house back together after being away for the holidays, finding places for all our new things and getting rid of things we do not need. This weekend I will take down the Christmas decorations, much to Aiden's chagrin. Send up a prayer for me that he takes it well, he is pretty attached to many of the decorations.

Aiden on Christmas Morning!

Aiden on New Year's Eve

Aiden lasted all the way past midnight on New Year's, he was more awake than most of the adults and he was still in a fantastic mood! We did this fun walkabout at the stroke of midnight, which is an Irish tradition that Aiden REALLY got into and totally loved. I am pretty sure that it is going to be a forever tradition now. This kid is too much fun. I love him soooo much!!
