Pumpkin Time!

Loves this penguin SO much!
Love when he falls asleep on his mommy...
This past weekend marked the end of volleyball season and it could not have come at a better time. I did not think that I would have been able to make it through another day. I am so thankful that we got to end our season on a high note, we won the Consolation Bracket in the final tournament! We are back to back Consolation Champs! It is so cool that I was able to really elevate the level of volleyball at Dave's school while we lived here.  The school has very few trophies for sports but in my two years of coaching we have been able to put two trophies in the case!  I am rushing around like mad trying to get the house ready for the arrival of Connor, I feel as if the to-do list never ends. I am hoping that even though I am miserable being pregnant that he does not decide to come early because I need every last day to prepare. Today we carved and painted pumpkins, Aiden had a blast as you will see from our pictures! Can't wait to see many of you this weekend!

Family Fun

He LOVES pumpkins!
The scenic bathroom break
Love My Boys!!!
We had some fun family time this past weekend. We went to the "local" mini-golf place on Saturday, which is kind of a dive but we managed to have a good time. Aiden had a blast in the arcade, playing games and riding on a few of the little rides. The guy at the ticket counter was really nice and let Aiden have two toys that doubled the amount of tickets that we actually had. We finished off the night with a yummy dinner at Black Bear Diner in Bullhead City. On Sunday, we headed to Las Vegas because they have the nearest pumpkin patch. It was crazy! There was a line 1/2 a mile long of people waiting to purchase the pumpkins they picked out! It was 90+ outside, with no shade or beverages which led us to leave rather quickly and not actually purchase pumpkins. Aiden was happy to see the pumpkins in the patch though, so I am glad that we went to have that "patch" experience. We will probably pick up some pumpkins to carve this weekend. So our trip to Vegas was not "wasted," we decided to eat at Joe's Crab Shack. Dave had never eaten there before, and they had a really awesome playground for Aiden to play on. Aiden has been doing really well with potty training, in fact on the way to Vegas he let us know he had to go! We pulled over at a "scenic lookout," and Aiden had a blast peeing on the rocks. He thought it was pretty hilarious since usually I have him sitting on the toilet. Connor is constantly moving and kicking, and the doctor says that he expects him to arrive on time. I am praying that he is not early because I still have so much to do, including driving to California next weekend!

Aiden is such a good photographer...

Potty Training

Pluto is Potty Training with us.. :)
My attempt at a playdough train to appease Aiden...
He loves hats..even when they are not really hats. :)
We are on Day 3 of full-time potty training. It is going relatively well, we have gone through a lot of underwear but he has not had many full on accidents.  I have REALLY started to show in the past week, which has made potty training even more difficult. Chasing around Aiden and taking him to the bathroom every half an hour is taking its toll on me but if I only have to change one kid's diapers when Connor comes it will be worth the extra effort. Pregnancy is kicking my butt, honestly the only good thing about it is that you get a cute little kid at the end of it. 33 days till my due date, which is blowing my mind. Even though this pregnancy has been incredibly difficult I cannot believe that it is almost over. I am hoping that Connor comes when he is supposed to, because I am going to need every day up until the 17th to prepare. Volleyball season ends next weekend, I cannot wait but I know that Aiden will miss it. He has become quite the little coach. He likes to tell the girls what to do when we are working on conditioning, I think it makes it easier for them as well because he is so darn adorable. Aiden will tell them to run faster, jump up and down, turn around and sit down (for wall sits) and keep your hands up.He is such a good little helper, I hope that he is helpful with his little brother!

He likes to be pushed around in the shopping cart...

Throwback to when Matthew was here, we miss him!!!
We are almost in the home stretch of this pregnancy. 40 days until little Connor is due to arrive in this world. I feel as if I should be more prepared, but in reality I am not even close. I still have to finish getting his room ready, make freezer meals so that we do not starve when he comes and figure out how I am going to juggle two small children, a full-time job and all my household duties.  I am feeling more than a little overwhelmed when I think of how much crazier life is going to be. As his due date grows closer, I find myself wishing even more that we already lived in California. Perhaps everything would not seem as daunting if I had some family nearby.  I know that I will find a way to make everything work, it is just hard to imagine it right now.  What I worry most about, is how Aiden is going to deal with another little human getting my attention. I hope that I can find a happy balance between my boys and that our family just grows stronger. I will switch gears now and give you more of an update on my awesome little Aiden. Lately, when I have been reading to him, he has been actually reading to me. He has at least 4 of our books pretty much memorized. I love hearing him recite the books back to me. It is such a fun experience.  He is remembering the words to more and more songs, he likes to sing all the time just like his mommy. We recently made muffins because his favorite book is If You Give a Moose a Muffin. In the story the moose eats "another and another" until they are all gone. Aiden thinks it is hilarious to ask for "another and another" while he is eating the muffins, he ate 5 mini-muffins in one sitting! Aiden misses all of his family. Almost every time we get into the car he asks if we are going to see, "Papa, Grandma, Adam, Jaquelyn, Auntie Marilyn, Mars, Anna, Rodney, Baby, or GGma." Sometimes he only ask about a few, but sometimes he lists them all.  Just wanted to let you guys know that you are loved and missed by Aiden, as well as myself! Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

Finished a Project!

I finally finished my first crochet project! Hip Hip Hooray! I had put it away because things were too hectic and I felt like I was neglecting everything else that needed to be done but recently I felt inspired to get it done before the month of October got started. It took me a lot longer than I anticipated, and I am hoping that the blanket for Connor will go a little more quickly. My first project is nothing fancy, but I am pretty proud of it. It is a blanket for car rides for Aiden, I know that he will probably outgrow quickly but for now it will work. Aiden has been super silly lately, running out wearing a hat and apron. He has been doing it constantly, it cracks me up. Last week, he got to go to Disneyland with his grandparents! He had such an amazing time with them. He is still going on and on about all the characters. Life is good around here, I am really starting to show but that makes sense since Connor is due next month! Time flies...
